Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, the proposed knowledge and support TA will strengthen research capacity of think tanks in ADB member countries by strengthening partnerships and cooperations, promoting research in emerging policy issues, advising research work and developing papers, and offering a platform (workshops, policy dialogues and conferences) to present research findings and exchange knowledge. These will be delivered through cooperation with ADBI, selected research institutions in ADB member countries or members of the ADB-led ATTN, and possibly with other development agencies.

The TA will delve into research themes that have implications on strengthening RCI, based on ADB's knowledge and operational priorities and matched by research priorities of other partner institutions as decided annually. These research themes will include tourism and international trade, and climate change policy and financing, while keeping the role of technology and innovation for these agendas and for economic development at large into consideration.

The TA financing amount is $750,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund.
