As stated by the ADB, the technical assistance (TA) supports some of the member countries of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in accelerating their energy transition and enhancing the regional power trade under the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) initiative. The TA will benefit Cambodia, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, the People's Republic of China, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The TA activities will support the advancement of energy transition through upstream project preparation, knowledge support, and capacity development.
The TA is aligned with GMS/ASEAN strategic framework to accelerate clean energy transition, enhance energy security, and increase economic benefits in the region.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. You can learn more about the Accountability Mechanism and how to file a complaint at: http://www.adb.org/site/accountability-mechanism/main.
