According to the Bank’s website the Digital regulatory cooperation is essential for developing economies to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization. As consumers and producers continue to adopt online purchasing, digital transactions and the remote delivery of services, digital regulatory frameworks are gradually adapting to changing needs. The knowledge and support TA will strengthen DMCs' understanding of the role and impact of regulatory regimes in the digital economy by creating awareness on the design and policy options available, identifying the existing gaps, assessing the economic implications, and devising strategies to undertake the digital transformation.
The TA financing amount is $750,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF 7 for $425,000 and TASF-other sources for $325,000).
