According to the Bank’s website, the knowledge and support technical assistance (TA) aims to help Maldives in formulating and implementing evidence-based knowledge solutions for its development challenges and strengthen its capacity to effectively implement proposed interventions.
Maldives Country Partnership Strategy 2020-2024 focuses on addressing some of the country's development challenges focusing on enhancing public sector efficiency and fiscal sustainability, strengthening competitiveness and diversifying the economic base, and improving the quality of life of island communities while ensuring environmental sustainability.

The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
