As stated by the ADB, the TA will help developing member countries (DMCs) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to adopt environmentally sustainable growth trajectories by providing targeted technical support, policy advice, knowledge sharing, and capacity building. The TA team will deliver regional diagnostic and analytical studies of key environmental issues and systems, support the identification and development of integrated and nature-based solutions such as innovative financing mechanisms, establish and operationalize the Nature Solution Finance Hub (NSFH), and organize associated knowledge generation and sharing activities.
The TA team will take a biome, multisector, and issue-based approach to the proposed regional research and solution offerings. These will cover (i) seascapes for marine and coastal protection, and resilience to climate change, involving all ADB regional departments; (ii) work with sector groups and private sector development; and (iii) waste management and plastic pollution control with a regional focus, involving the Southeast Asia and South Asia departments. The knowledge generation and sharing activities, along with nature-based and financing solutions developed under the TA will be available to all regional departments.
As stated by the ADB, US$ 0.03 million will be financed on a grant basis by the Global Environment Facility and administered by ADB.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. You can learn more about the Accountability Mechanism and how to file a complaint at: http://www.adb.org/site/accountability-mechanism/main.
