As stated on the project disclosure page, the EBRD provided up to EUR 20 million long-term loan to Assan Aluminyum Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. to finance the Company's decarbonisation investments in Dilovasi and Tuzla facilities.
Assan's EBRD financed decarbonisation investments promote the green economy by increasing scrap use, boosting efficiency, and cutting energy and gas consumption, qualifying as 100% GET-eligible. The Project aligns with the Paris Agreement and EU Taxonomy for Climate Action. Additionally, the Company will improve its HR policies and practices by introducing a structured caregiving support framework.
As stated by the EBRD, established in 1988, Assan Aluminyum Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. is a leading producer of flat-rolled aluminium products (i.e. coil & sheet, foil, and pre-painted aluminium) serving the packaging, construction, consumer durables, automotive, and HVAC sectors. The Company is owned by Kibar Holding A.S. (95.5%) and Assan Gayrimenkul Gelistirme A.S. (4.5%), with the Kibar Family member as the ultimate beneficial owners.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
