As stated by the EBRD, the project consists of the provision of up to EUR 8,000,000 loan to ACTIA Engineering Services, to be on-lent to ACTIA Aeronautics Services, a majority-owned subsidiary of the Company, dedicated to aeronautical R&D, to finance the set-up of a new green certified building as well as associated equipment and working capital.
The Project supports the construction of a new green facility designed for research, engineering, and innovation activities in the aeronautics sector.
The total project costs of the investment programme will be financed through debt.
The Project benefits from a guarantee from the European Fund for Sustainable Development Plus (EFSD+) Municipal Infrastructure and Industrial Resilience (MIIR) Guarantee Programme. The programme contributes to transitioning economies in the European Neighbourhood South and European Neighbourhood East by supporting sustainable investments in green city infrastructure, greening logistics chains, energy efficiency and green technology transfers in industrial processes, commercial operations and buildings. In addition, EBRD's Shareholder Special Fund was used to support project preparation due dilligence.
As stated by the EBRD, ACTIA Engineering Services, founded in 2005, serves as the R&D and qualification laboratory within the ACTIA Group in Tunisia. Headquartered in Technopole El-Ghazela, with an additional site in Sfax Technopark, the Company specialises in the design and development of embedded hardware solutions and software services for the mobility and industrial sectors.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
You can contact the PCM at: pcm@ebrd.com or you can submit a complaint online using an online form at: http://www.ebrd.com/eform/pcm/complaint_form?language=en
You can learn more about the PCM and how to file a complaint at: http://www.ebrd.com/work-with-us/project-finance/project-complaint-mechanism.html
