According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this project is to provide a loan to HTEC doo Beograd in the amount of up to EUR60 million to finance further expansion through acquisitions.
EBRD to provide additional support to HTEC on its growth path through financing of new acquisitions, aimed to further improve HTEC's competitiveness and productivity and continued enhancement of its governance structures.
Category C (2024 ESP) due to the relatively low environmental and social risk profile of a consultancy services business and similarly low risk profile of the associated Project, for the Company to acquire other such businesses, detailed ESDD beyond screening was not required as part of this transaction. E&S screening confirmed that the Borrower and the Project do not present any environmental and/or social impacts that cannot be readily identified or mitigated.
Founded in 2008, HTEC Group Inc. (the "Parent") with its fully owned subsidiary, HTEC doo Beograd (the "Borrower") provides software and hardware engineering services, and digital solutions consultancy to companies mainly based in USA and Europe.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
