As stated by the EBRD, the Project comprises EUR 60 million loan to Yayla Agro Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. for the retroactive financing of the construction of the Company's newly opened Nigde facility.
The main objective of the Project is to refinance Yayla's capital expenditures related to the construction of the new Nigde facility, which were originally funded by the Company's own cash reserves. The expansion plan includes increased area and additional production lines.
The Project supports human capital development by establishing an incubation centre at Nigde facility located in the Central Anatolia, Turkiye, enabling access to market-relevant skills and economic opportunities in the food and agribusiness sector.
As stated by the EBRD, Yayla is a joint stock company incorporated in Turkiye, specializing in the production and processing of pulses, rice, bulgur and ready to eat products, with sales in domestic and various international markets. The Company is 69% owned by Hasan Gumus, the founder of the Company and 31% by free-float investors on Borsa Istanbul.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
