According to the Bank’s website, the project will support inclusive growth by providing improved mobility through the provision of an affordable modern public transport system.
Involuntary resettlement impacts are expected to be significant, mostly associated with the acquisition of land for stations, depot, workshop and shafts. The MRT viaduct alignment is proposed along dense urban settlement and is likely to impact private structures and involve clearance of informal settlers. During project preparation, resettlement surveys and consultations with affected people will be undertaken to assess the nature of the impacts and prepare appropriate mitigation measures as required under the ADB SPS (2009).

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
