According to bank-provided informaion, the project involves the provision of a 4-year loan of USD 22.6 million to Hassan Allam Holding SAE ("HAH").
The transaction will help in strengthening the resilience of the subsidiary operating company, Hassan Allam Construction SAE ("HAC") by way of a capital increase to deliver on its growing backlog.
Hassan Allam Holding is a leading Egypt-based engineering and construction group whose primary operations include infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects in Egypt and the MENA region. Origins since 1936, makes HAH the oldest construction franchise in the MENA region, and boasts a solid reputation, superior technical capabilities, and a diversified portfolio. Hassan Allam Holding principally operates in Egypt with more than 30 subsidiaries and affiliates. The Company is one of the largest employers in Egypt.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
