According to the EBRD, the project consists of a senior secured loan of up to EUR15 million consisting of a committed tranche of up to EUR5 million and an uncommitted tranche of up to EUR10 million to Selzer Automotive Bosnia d.o.o. Both tranches to be used to finance the capex needs of the Company.
The loan will support GET investments in production capacity focused on automotive parts that are to be supplied to OEMs for the purpose of full electric and/or low emission hybrid vehicles.
The Project is additional in terms of (i) financing structure (EBRD offers financing to the Company which is otherwise not available in the local market); and (ii) standard-setting (the Company has committed to increase the share of female employees from 22.5% to 40%).
As stated by the EBRD, Selzer Automotive Bosnia d.o.o., is a Bosnian-based manufacturer of ready-to-install metal parts and assemblies for automotive transmissions, brakes and engines. It is part of the Selzer Group, a German-based Tier 1 supplier to OEMs such as Volkswagen, Daimler, BMW and Stellantis. Selzer Group is part of Ferral United Group active in the automotive segment and ultimately owned by Mutares, a listed PE fund specialised in turn-around situations.
As stated by Bloomberg, Selzer Fertigungstechnik GmbH & Company KG manufactures metal stamping products. The Company develops and produces metal components and subassemblies for gearboxes, engines, braking systems and professional electrical power tools. Selzer Fertigungstechnik serves automotive and industrial sectors worldwide.
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA is a listed private equity holding company that acquires medium-sized companies and parts of larger groups with headquarters in Europe that show potential for operational improvement. Companies are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
