As stated by the EBRD, the project consists of a senior secured loan of up to EUR 60 million in favour of two special purpose vehicles, Magazyn EE Turosn Koscielna Sp. z o.o. ("Turosn BESS") and Magazyn EE Elk Sp. z o.o. ("Elk BESS"), located in Poland and directly owned by Greenvolt Power Group Sp. z o.o..
The loan proceeds will be used to finance the development, construction and operation of two standalone 200MW/800MWh battery energy storage systems ("BESS") located in Poland. The Project will ensure stability into the grid, essential for maximizing the integration of renewable energy.
As stated by the EBRD, the Borrowers are special purpose vehicles incorporated in Poland and established with the sole purpose of developing the Project.
The Borrowers are directly owned by Greenvolt Power, a renewable energy platform of Greenvolt - Energias Renovaveis, S.A. ("Greenvolt Group"), a Portuguese renewable energy group operating in Europe and in the US, mainly in the biomass, large scale wind, solar PV, and distributed power generation subsectors. Greenvolt Group is fully owned by KKR, a global investment firm incorporated in the United States and listed on New York Stock Exchange.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
