Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

The proposed TA facility would bridge knowledge, project preparatory and implementation gaps, apply best practices, and foster information technology-induced innovative solutions to address challenges in the sector. Capacity-building support will be provided through the provision of incremental consulting services to enhance project preparatory and implementation capacity.

The TA facility will contribute to project preparation, due diligence activities including preparation of technical specifications, cost-benefit analysis, financial and economic analysis, social and environmental safeguards and documentation, and procurement documents thus increasing project readiness and ensuring project sustainability both from ADB and the government's perspectives. It will support capacity building through training and skills workshops during project implementation. The ensuing projects are either included in the India Country Operations Business Plan (COBP) or will be added to the COBP upon approval of preliminary project reports by the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA).
