According to ADB website, the support from the Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund (APDRF) will complement previous ADB support amounting to $1.5 billion for supporting 'India COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Package'' and ongoing regional technical assistance addressing the outbreak of COVID-19 amounting to $3 million of which $500,000 was used to procure the initial batch of 10 thermal scanners and additional funds would be used for consultancy services in strengthening capacity at the central and state level.
