According to the bank website, the project includes the provision of a senior loan of up to EUR 12.5 million to Tersan Tersanecilik Tasimacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. (the "Borrower"). The Bank's investment will be used for financing the capital expenditures of the Borrower including the extension of the repair berth and the installation of solar panels (the "Project").
The Project's overall objective is to strengthen the Borrower's competitive position in the maritime vessel maintenance industry in Turkiye, through (i) the growth in the number of vessels being equipped with Ballast Water Management Systems (BWMS) installations and growth in the number of other eco-friendly and efficiency repairs, (ii) cost efficiency improvements and (iii) energy savings achieved via the use of renewable energy sources.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
