According to the bank document, the proposed project will support the Ministry of Health in Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) to improve the health system and its capacity of delivering high-quality health care services.
Improving the quality of health care is a top challenge for further progress towards universal health coverage. Thus, the project will deliver four outputs:
(i) governance mechanism for quality assurance and continuous quality improvement enhanced;
(ii) health human resources strengthened for delivery of quality health services;
(iii) quality and management of health facilities boosted; and
(iv) project management and monitoring supported
