Project Description

If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

A convertible loan of up to EUR 75 million to Ronesans Saglik Yatirim A.S. ("Ronesans Healthcare" or "Borrower" or "Company"), Ronesans Group's holding company for social infrastructure assets, including, six Turkish hospital PPP investments and a facility management company providing services for the Istanbul Ikitelli PPP. The loan has a 5-year tenor and a convertibility option to equity towards the maturity.

75% of the proceeds of the convertible loan will be allocated to finance capital expenditures of Ronesans Healthcare under Turkish Healthcare PPP Hospitals and some portion of the loan will be utilised for general corporate purposes.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD

The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
