As stated on the project disclosure page, IFC is considering an equity investment in Midas, the leading online brokerage in Türkiye that enables retail investors to participate in Turkish and US capital markets as well as other asset classes.
The investment in Midas is expected to improve access to investment products and services among retail investors in Türkiye. Midas covers a broad range of asset classes and offers a superior customer experience with low prices and digital onboarding. The investment will support Midas in scaling its digital trading mobile app, diversifying its product offerings, and expanding its customer base. This growth will enhance financial inclusion and literacy, providing retail investors with more affordable and accessible investment opportunities, and thereby contributing to the development of the Turkish capital markets.
As stated by the IFC, Midas has received investments from several well-known Venture Capital funds, including Revo Capital, EarlyBird, Spark Capital and Portage Capital.
