This technical assistance project provides financing to Samruk-Energy, the largest electricity generation company in Kazakhstan, for: (i) a report on Samruk-Energy's corporate transformation program; (ii) financial analysis of Samruk-Energy; and (iii) an environmental and social safeguard audit of Samruk-Energy's current environmental and social management system with recommendations to fill any gaps to meet international standards.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project.
