Project Description

According to ADB documents, the project will finance the establishment of holistic wholesale markets for horticulture to help increase the volume of high quality horticulture products to be marketed, particularly during the off-season period. It supports the government’s strategy by improving and modernizing value chain infrastructures, which will in turn increase productivity, improve processing and storage capacity, and reduce post-harvest losses. It will promote long-term economic growth and enhance profitability for farmers and agribusiness enterprises.
