According to ADB documents, the ADB is working with Sri Lanka to develop energy resources and increase access to low cost energy for the entire population. The project is helping to increase supply by raising the share of renewable energy, particularly wind power. The Wind Power Generation Project will contribute to the government’s goal of expanding access to electricity and developing clean energy. This innovative, high technology project represents the development of the first 100 MW wind park in Sri Lanka. The project will have the following outcome: clean power generation increased.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. You can learn more about the Accountability Mechanism and how to file a complaint at: http://www.adb.org/site/accountability-mechanism/main
