This project finances the construction of 2 units of 450 MW energy efficient combined cycle gas turbines at the Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant located in Kashkadarya region.
This project is expected to contribute to energy saving, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and reliable power supplies in Uzbekistan. It will also build on the Talimarjan Power Project by further improving corporate governance, and promoting commercialization of the energy sector.
A loan of US$450 million is provided by the ADB's ordinary capital resources.
A loan of US$450 million is provided by the external Uzbekistan Fund for Reconstruction and Development.
