According to the IADB, the proposed investment consists of up to US$40 million (equivalent in PEN) or up to 20% of the total commitments in Compass Fondo de Inversion Adelanto de Efectivo (“Compass FAE” or the “Fund”), an unlisted, closed-ended, PEN-denominated trade receivables investment fund in Peru, for a period of up to 8 years. With IFC’s anchor participation, a mobilization ratio of at least 1:1 is expected (the “Project”).The Project will build on Word Bank Group (WBG) engagements to develop the factoring and reverse factoring as an alternative financial intermediation channel in Peru and support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing financing through factoring and reverse factoring.
