According to ADB website, the TA will support the government in (i) comprehensively assessing the country's renewable energy subsector to identify bottlenecks and recommend urgent policy actions to overcome these barriers and create an enabling environment for sustained public and private investments; (ii) developing a comprehensive investment plan to meet 20%-25% of the renewable energy target by 2020; and (iii) enhancing government capacity in renewable energy policy planning, grid control and protection, and technology and tariff analysis.
