According to the IFC, the proposed investment is an equity investment up to US$10.5M in 4DX Ventures III. L.P. (4DX III). 4DX III is a US$100M (target) pan-African venture capital fund. The Fund will be managed by 4DX Ventures Management LLC. 4DX III shall mainly make initial investments in pre-Series A stage and make follow-on investments through later stages. The Fund will be sector agnostic with investments in sectors such as climate tech, fintech, eCommerce, edtech, logistics, and healthtech sectors.
The Fund will invest across Africa.
The IFC categorized the project as FI-2.
As stated by the IFC, the Fund will be managed by 4DX Ventures Management LLC, an Africa-focused VC fund manager led by four partners: Peter Orth, Walter Baddoo, Daniel Marlo, and Raaid Ahmad.
