Project Description

According to the Bank’s website, the proposed investment is a €49 million green loan (the “IFC Loan”) to East Gate Mall in Skopje, North Macedonia (“EGM”). The IFC Loan will help (i) refinance existing debt of EGM, (ii) pursue IFC Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) green building Advanced certification, and (iii) create a more equitable, safer, and respectful space for women employed by EGM.
