Project Description

According to the Bank’s website, ANKA is a social e-commerce enabler that offers a platform for merchants of Africa-related creative industry products to sell, ship and get paid globally. The majority of merchants using ANKA’s platform are small businesses based in Africa, while buyers are spread across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia notably.

IFC is considering an investment of up to EUR3 million in ANKA, and the project is expected to be supported by the IDA20 Private Sector Window Blended Finance Facility. The funding will primarily be used to expand the Company’s operations in Cote d’Ivoire.
