Farinter es una empresa privada de propiedad familiar con sede en Honduras dedicada a la distribución y venta minorista de productos farmacéuticos y de consumo. Farinter tiene presencia en toda la región con centros de distribución y farmacias en Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica y Panamá. La IFC propone proporcionar un préstamo a largo plazo para financiar su plan estratégico que incluye (i) la adquisición de empresas del sector farmacéutico en América Central; y (ii) la construcción de dos nuevos centros de distribución (CD) en Honduras y Nicaragua. Se espera que la construcción del CD en Honduras comience en el cuarto trimestre de 2024, mientras que la ubicación en Nicaragua aún no está finalizada.
