According to bank documents, the proposed project will improve overall port operations in the country and reduce the incidenceof delays to intentional shipping by constructing an extension to the breakwater and providing an opti mized solution for the port precinct including container terminal storage. It will also provide institutional strengthening and capacity building for the Samoa Ports Authority to assist with the long term management and operation of the port.
