This project provides funding to Beo Cista Energija d.o.o Beograd (or Beo Clean Energy) for the financing, construction, and operation of landfill and facilities for the treatment and disposal of muncipal waste generated by 13 municipalities in Belgrade. This includes construction of a energy-from-waste facility, construction and demolition waste facility, closing and aftercare of existing landfil in Vinca, and the construction of a new landfill.
Beo Cista Energija d.o.o Beograd is a limited liability company established with the sole purpose of operating and financing the Belgrade Solid Waste PPP project under a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Transfer scheme, and owned by consortium of Suez and Itochu.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
