The proposed investment consists of a senior unsecured loan to Fundación Génesis Empresarial (the Company or Génesis). The purpose of the proposed IFC investment is to expand the Company’s loan portfolio for micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Guatemala. At least 50 percent of the proceeds will finance women owned and led MSEs (WMSEs).
