According to the bank website, the proposed investment will help food flow globally and allow developing markets to maintain jobs and exports. ETG will ensure the availability of liquidity for its distributors and farmers through its procurement activities. Beyond the Project, IFC anticipates that the financing will improve market resilience by maintaining procurement of agricultural commodities across ETG's supply chains and by building the capacity of suppliers and of the Group to withstand shocks and stresses related to COVID-19.
