The Program is expected to receive support from the IDA Private Sector Window (PSW) in the form of up to US$6 million First Loss Guarantee (“Blended Concessional Finance Co-Investment”) to facilitate the deployment of the Program’s first phase of US$50 million unfunded RSF to generate up to US$100 million of loans and leases in PSW eligible countries. This support is expected to enable the Program to rapidly roll out and reach the healthcare sector in Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda where access to medical equipment has historically been a challenge and in turn led to poor healthcare delivery and health outcomes. Without the Blended Concessional Finance Co-Investment, IFC will not be able to provide guarantees to the PFIs at a price that allows the PFIs in turn to provide access to finance to the health SMEs at a viable cost.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IFC
The Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an IFC or MIGA- financed project. If you submit a complaint to the CAO, they may assist you in resolving a dispute with the company and/or investigate to assess whether the IFC is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. If you want to submit a complaint electronically, you can email the CAO at CAO@worldbankgroup.org. You can learn more about the CAO and how to file a complaint at http://www.cao-ombudsman.org/
