As stated in the project disclosure document, DFC will provide pre-investment project development financing of $5,000,000 to Aclara Resources Mineração Ltda (“Aclara”) for feasibility studies, including an updated resource estimate, hydro-geological assessments, and several infrastructure feasibility and design studies for the mining and processing of Rare Earth Elements at their Carina site, in order to prepare the project for potential DFC equity financing.
As stated by Bloomberg, Aclara Resources Inc. provides exploration and mining services. The Company focuses on developing a mine-to-magnet supply chain for heavy rare earths, from sustainable ionic clay deposits in South America to a dedicated separation facility in the United States and the production of specialized metals and alloys.

Unlike many other development finance institutions, DFC does not currently have an access to information policy.
Under the United States Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), DFC is obliged to respond to reasonably formulated requests for Agency records. However, DFC may apply exemptions from release to certain types of information and may charge fees in responding to requests.
