As stated on the project disclosure document, DFC’s Technical Assistance is supporting the development of an approximately 250 MW wind farm consisting of a proposed 40-50 wind turbines, which will be connected to the national grid. This wind farm will be the largest wind farm in West Africa and have the potential to meet 22% of Niger’s annual domestic electricity demand by 2027. The technical assistance consists of several project development activities, including environmental impact assessments, wind mast operation and maintenance, legal tasks, and engineering studies.
As stated on the company's website, Savannah Energy PLC is a British independent energy company focused around the delivery of Projects that Matter in Africa.

Unlike many other development finance institutions, DFC does not currently have an access to information policy.
Under the United States Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), DFC is obliged to respond to reasonably formulated requests for Agency records. However, DFC may apply exemptions from release to certain types of information and may charge fees in responding to requests.
