Project Description

If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the CDB, the project will reduce risks associated with flood hazards in the Layou River Valley by the rehabilitating and reconstructing critical infrastructure to better than pre-flood event standards; constructing an emergency shelter and resource centre to internationally accepted standards and guidelines; and providing of technical assistance to assist the Government in an integrated vulnerability assessment for flood risk reduction.
