Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the CDB, the project will reduce flood risk in Bridgetown, Barbados.
The infrastructure works will comprise: (a) The installation of rock armouring and dredging of approximately 450 metres of the main drainage channel of the Constitution River; (b) Upgrading of the main drains connecting to the Constitution River and construction of a maintenance access ramp; and (c) Landscape works of the perimeter area.


The technical assistance will comprise:
(a) Capacity Building of the Drainage Division; (b) Preparation of a Constitution River Maintenance Plan; and (c) The conduct of Climate Vulnerability Assessment on the Constitution River Catchment.
