The Project consists of senior A/B corporate financing and co-financing of up to US$300 million for Movida Participacoes S.A. to support the acquisition and renewal of a next-generation fleet, with a focus on incorporating new vehicle technologies. The structure includes an IDB Invest Loan A of up to US$100 million, with a term of up to eight-years and a two-year grace period, and Loan B and/or co-financing of up to US$200 million, with a term of up to five years and a two-year grace period. The funds will be used to purchase electric and hybrid vehicles between 2028 and 2032, as well as to acquire new eligible flex-fuel vehicles, including those linked to the Self-Employment Initiative for ride-hailing drivers and other self-employed workers, with measures to increase women's participation.
The main objective is to facilitate Movida's transition to a next-generation fleet, promoting its modernization and progressive decarbonization through greater efficiency, increased use of ethanol, and reduced emissions, while simultaneously expanding access to vehicles for income generation.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
