According to the IDBI, ANSA McAL Limited ("ANSA McAL" or the "Group") and its subsidiary, Caribbean Development Company Limited ("CDC"), both incorporated in Trinidad and Tobago, are seeking financing to support the Group's capital investment program and working capital needs in Trinidad and Tobago. The proposed financing would be for US$150 million from IDB Invest and an additional amount from B-lenders, Co-lenders and funds managed by IDB Invest in an amount to be defined before signature.
ANSA McAL operates across several strategic industries, including automotive, beverages, construction, distribution, financial services, packaging, media, retail, and shipping and logistics, with a presence throughout the Caribbean and in international markets.
CDC, the Group's largest operating subsidiary, is the producer of Carib, Stag, and other leading drinks that are widely recognized across the Caribbean and increasingly present in other international markets.
Through the proposed mix of financial products, IDB Invest would support the operations of ANSA McAL and CDC, fostering increased market linkages through non-traditional exports and supporting the continuation of sustainable glass production through recycling.
