Project Description

According to the bank, the IDB Invest is considering granting a secured senior loan with multiple borrowers of up to US$30 million to Torrecom and its operating subsidiaries in Latin America. The proposed financing will be used to (i) fund growth CAPEX and associated costs for 2026-2028 in El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, and Ecuador, and (ii) refinance part of its existing debt.

The objective of the proposed financing is to reduce the digital divide in the mobile telecommunications infrastructure space by supporting a shared infrastructure operator serving multiple carriers. Founded in 2010, Torrecom is one of the leading independent tower companies in Latin America, with a portfolio of more than 1,500 telecommunications towers operating across 11 countries.
