According to the IDB Invest, the proposed financing involves a senior loan to Consorcio Transmataro S.A. to support the construction of the following three transmission lines and associated substations in Peru:
(i) San Jose - Yarabamba 500 kV (Arequipa)
(ii) Piura Nueva - Colan 220 kV (Piura)
(iii) Belaunde Terry - Tarapoto Norte 220 kV (San Martin)
The project's development objective is to ensure the current and future reliability of the national electricity system.
As stated on the company's website, ISA CTM (Consorcio Transmantaro S.A.) is the entity that holds the Mantaro-Socabaya Transmission Line Concession, responsible for linking the electric power transmission grid nationwide. It is a subsidiary of Red de Energía del Perú S.A. (ISA REP), which is engaged in building, operating and providing maintenance to the electric transmission networks and implementing telecommunication systems, activities and services in Perú.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
