As stated by the IDB Invest, the transaction aims to finance the expansion of renewable energy generation capacity throughout the country (approximately 340 MW), as well as the installation of 40 MW of batteries, awarded under Argentina's first large-scale storage initiative, Alma-GBA.

Founded in 2012, Genneia is Argentina's leading renewable energy company, with a strong presence in wind and solar power generation, which: i) generates more than 20% of the country's wind energy and 12% of its solar energy; ii) sells clean energy to large industrial and mining customers under the MATER program; and iii) is a leader in sustainable finance, through multiple green bond issuances. Committed to the global effort to decarbonize the economy, the Company has set itself the goal of providing the Argentine Electricity Interconnection System with 100% renewable energy by 2030.
Genneia has eight wind farms (totaling 272 wind turbines) and five solar farms (equipped with a total of 1,071,150 solar panels) in operation, as well as two solar farms under construction and two conventional thermal power plants (used only for immediate energy requirements or peak demand) connected to the SADI. The Company's facilities include: i) the central administrative headquarters in Vicente López (province of Buenos Aires); ii) an administrative office in Puerto Madryn (province of Chubut); iii) the Operational Control Center for wind farms and power plants, operating remotely and in real time; and iv) a warehouse for repair and maintenance materials (the latter two located in Pilar, province of Buenos Aires).
The Company also plans to build: i) the 129 MW San Juan Sur solar park (San Juan province); ii) the 180 MW San Rafael solar park (Mendoza province); and iii) two solar projects of 20 MW each, located in the towns of Lincoln and Junín (Buenos Aires province).

Comprometida con el esfuerzo global para descarbonizar la economía, la Empresa se ha fijado como objetivo para 2030, el de dotar al Sistema Argentino de Interconexión Eléctrica de energía 100% renovable.
Genneia posee 8 parques eólicos (totalizando 272 aerogeneradores) y 5 parques solares (equipados con un total de 1.071.150 paneles solares) en operación, así como 2 parques solares en construcción y dos centrales térmicas convencionales (que se emplean solo bajo requerimiento energético inmediato o en demanda pico) conectados al SADI.
