De acuerdo con el BID Invest, se esta considerando un financiamiento a Satelital Telecomunicaciones S.A.C. ("Satelital") de hasta US$30 millones que consiste en un A-Loan de hasta US$5 millones y un B-Loan de hasta US$25 millones para apoyar su plan de expansion de redes de fibra optica para ofrecer los servicios de internet de banda ancha fija a los hogares, empresas y agencias gubernamentales en las localidades ubicadas en Loreto, Peru. Satelital ha sido la unica empresa de telecomunicaciones que desarrollo y opera la red troncal de fibra optica en la Amazonia de Peru. Aprovechando su red troncal, Satelital tiene un plan de inversion para expandir las redes de fibra optica para conectar las localidades en la misma region donde no ha existido la conexion de banda ancha fija basada en fibra optica.
