As stated on the project disclosure page, IDB Invest proposes financing a long-term senior loan of up to US$10 million to support Rentek's expansion. This financing will be used to acquire new machinery and equipment, which will allow Rentek to expand its offering and reach a larger number of SMEs, with part of the resources being allocated to women-led SMEs. In this way, access to modern productive assets for small and medium-sized enterprises will be strengthened, supporting their growth and improving their operational efficiency.
As stated by the IDB Invest, Rentek S.A.S. is a Colombian company with more than 25 years of experience in the leasing of industrial machinery, technology equipment, and medical-scientific equipment. Currently, it is consolidated as the third largest company in its sector in Colombia. Rentek offers renting solutions that allow SMEs to access advanced technology and specialized equipment without compromising their cash flow, promoting their technological modernization and increasing their competitiveness in the market.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
