Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the IDB Invest, Inkaterra, through its subsidiaries Palma Real S.A.C., Estación Ecológica Turística Amarumayo S.A.C., and Cabo Inka S.A.C., is seeking a US$12.0 million senior secured loan to develop new properties in the northern region of Peru (Cabo Blanco) and Machu Picchu, increase the room capacity of its existing hotels in the Peruvian Amazon (Madre de Dios), and to optimize its capital structure. Additionally, the Group is seeking an uncommitted revolving credit facility of up to US$5.0 million to finance working capital needs, focusing mainly on the payment of SME suppliers. Inkaterra intends to strengthen its impact and sustainability practices, and therefore wishes to take advantage of IDB Invest’s expertise and advisory services to expand its sustainability programs at a national level, thus enhancing its social and environmental commitment.
