According to the IDB Invest, this transaction (the "Project") consists of IDB Invest's subscription of up to US$20 million in a Green Bond issued by the Royal America Group for up to US$30 million, with a term of up to seven years, and the mobilization of resources to cover the total cost of the project. Royal America will use the Bond proceeds to finance the purchase and import of electric machinery for subsequent leasing and sale.
According to the IDB Invest,
Royal America is a regional group that began in Chile and now also operates in Colombia and Ecuador. It has over 30 years of experience leasing electric machinery used in distribution centers and industrial cargo handling. Through this Project, IDB Invest will be able to contribute to the development of electric mobility within the logistics sector in Chile and Colombia, impacting sectors such as food, retail, agriculture, and industrial sectors, among others.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
