The project consists of providing support to Compartamos Financiera S.A. ("Compartamos" or the "Financial Institution"), in the issuance of its first program of senior social bonds. The total amount of the issuance will be in Soles ("PEN") up to an equivalent of US$40 million, composed as follows: (i) an investment by IDB Invest for an amount of up to US$20 million; and (ii) an amount mobilized with another co-investor of up to US$20 million. The transaction will have a term of up to three years and amortization with payment at maturity (bullet).
The financing aims to expand the Micro and Small Enterprises' portfolio ("MSEs") and MSEs led and/or owned by women; and other vulnerable groups.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
