According to the IDB Invest, the bank is considering an investment of up to US$40 million in LAC eco.business Fund (“EBF” or “the Fund”) that Finance in Motion (“FIM” or the “Fund Advisor”) is advising. The Fund was established in 2014 and focuses on resilient agribusiness and food security throughout Latin America and the Caribbean (“LAC”). EBF makes loans through financial institutions and directly to corporate entities, and specifically promotes biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, and climate mitigation and adaptation. The Fund has an open-ended evergreen structure, with current size of approximately $600 million. EBF is a successful existing client; IDB Invest’s loan to the Fund would be fully amortized in December, so this investment would strengthen the long-term relation with this strategic partner. FIM is a leading global impact asset manager, with extensive experience and a deep regional network.
According to Bloomberg, Finance in Motion GmbH is an impact asset manager. The Company designs and implements impact driven investment vehicles and solutions that contribute to the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Finance in Motion serves public and private investors and international financial institutions in Germany.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
