According to the IDB, the Fund aims to provide debt financing for sustainable infrastructure in Emerging Markets, primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean ("LAC"), Africa, and South Asia. ImpactA Global Limited will be the Fund's investment advisor.
The proposed Project consists of an investment of up to the lesser of i) US$25 million, inclusive of a US$5 million Blended Finance participation with resources from funds managed by IDB Invest and ii) 20% of the total target Fund size.
With a target size of approximately US$300 million, the Fund will seek projects that promote a sustainable and equitable climate transition, including renewable energy, clean mobility, and climate-resilient health and water and sanitation infrastructure. The Fund will have a 10-year term from its final closing date and will make approximately 15 to 20 investments with maturities between 3-10 years, targeting a high single-digit net IRR. The Fund intends to invest at least the equivalent of 3x IDB Invest's investment in LAC.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
